Donna Bird is Broker/Owner of Bird Realty located at 19 Glenridge Road Suite D, in Glenville, NY. She has been in a sales career since 1977 beginning with Avon and Home Interiors and Gifts then becoming a NYS Licensed Real Estate Agent and Broker since 1987. Donna and her husband Tom have resided in Glenville, NY since 1983. Donna and her husband are blessed with 3 married children, and four beautiful grandchildren.

Hobbies
Donna loves music and taught voice and piano in the 70’s and 80’s prior to her career in Real Estate. Donna is an avid Baseball fan and especially loves the NY Yankees. Donna loves to play tennis (hasn’t played in years) and tries her hand at golf (She is not good so don’t invite her to play if you are a serious player)

Tom has been a part of Bird Realty for the 20+ years it has been open. He is the son of Principal Broker Donna Bird and holds his NYS Real Estate Brokers License. Tom has been licensed since 2006 and can help you and your family sell your home or purchase your dream home.
Tom is a graduate of Siena College with a B.S. in Marketing and Management. Tom has held positions with companies from Fortune 100 to Local Small Businesses and currently owns and operates First Class Home Solutions which is a residential and commercial cleaning/maintenance company.
Tom is a baseball coach for Mekeel Christian Academy and loves sports. He also loves music and plays the guitar and sings. He lives in Glenville, NY with his wife Brittany, son Johnathan and step-daughter Sofie.

I grew up in the Capital District, and currently reside in Guilderland with my husband and three children. I am a graduate of Schalmont High School and The College of St Rose. I have been surrounded by real estate and new construction my entire life. My father founded Hodorowski Homes in 1972, I began working in the business during high school and still work there part time. My husband and I have also operated our own construction business, Van Slyck Contracting, for the past 18 years.
Most of my professional career has involved working in various aspects of the building business. I have experience in customer service, production and design. I was interested in getting involved in real estate sales, and started working with Bird Realty in 2019. I have a passion for helping others, so I find that real estate is a great fit with my background. I realize that the purchase and sale of property is one of the biggest decisions and transactions that most people make in their lifetime, so I take my role very seriously, and will make every effort to educate and assist throughout the entire process.

Over 38 years ago our family located to Niskayuna from Fairfield CT. Here we raised our 3 children who were very active in sports throughout their college careers. My husband coached soccer and baseball and was active in putting up the lights on the football fields to allow Niskayuna to host evening events.
After 23 years of teaching math grades 6 thru college at Schenectady Community College and in the Schenectady, and Niskayuna and North Colonie School Districts, I have retired to spend time with our grandchildren.
Currently, I play tennis with The Schenectady and Niskayuna Tennis Association and play golf in two local golf leagues. Throughout the season I enjoy playing in several charity events to give back to the community.
